Dhulikhel
In Nepali: धुलिखेल

Dhulikhel is the headquarters of Kavrepalanchok and an old trading town on the road to Tibet. Its quiet core of brick houses and temples sits below modern hotels that look out on a sweep of peaks from Langtang to Everest's neighbours.
It is a base for walks to Namobuddha and Panauti, and Dhulikhel Hospital, one of the country's best, is here. Kathmandu University lies just below the town.
What to see and do
Walk through the old town's squares and temples, climb to the Kali temple viewpoint above town for sunrise, and take the classic hike to Namobuddha and on to Panauti. Nearby Banepa and the Palanchok Bhagawati temple are also worth a visit.
Good to know
Dhulikhel has a wide range of hotels, from simple lodges to resorts with mountain views. The Araniko Highway continues east to Dolalghat and the Bhote Koshi valley.
